Children and Adolescent Therapy
Growing up can be challenging. Children and teens today face pressures and experiences that can feel overwhelming—from anxiety and depression to family changes, grief, trauma, school stress, or struggles with identity and belonging. At Open Hands Christian Counseling, we provide therapy tailored to the unique needs of children and adolescents, offering a safe and supportive space for them to share, grow, and heal.
Our therapists use age-appropriate approaches such as play therapy, creative arts, storytelling, and skill-building activities to help young people express emotions that may be difficult to put into words. Sessions focus on equipping them with tools to manage stress, build resilience, and strengthen relationships at home, school, and with peers.
We also recognize the vital role of family. Parents and caregivers are invited into the process, receiving guidance on how to support their child’s growth and emotional well-being.
Scripture reminds us of the importance of caring for the next generation: “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). Our heart is to partner with families in nurturing children and teens so they may flourish in confidence, hope, and faith.
At Open Hands, we believe every child and adolescent has God-given worth and potential. Through therapy, they can discover tools for today and hope for tomorrow.
